Recently I had a nice reunion with them as they hired me to do their graduation photos by the dome at the Johns Hopkins medical school. It's not often that I get offered a beer at a headshot shoot, especially not at 10am, but Kittelson and Associates is an exceptionally friendly place. The company is based in Portland and has translated their kind Pacific Northwest vibe to Baltimore. When a company needs a lot of people photographed, it's often easier for me to go to them versus having a whole team travel to my studio. I'll typically set up in a conference room or free office, and the subjects will pop in for a session whenever they have a free moment in their workday. Sometimes we'll also have a makeup person on-site.

Dennis is a veteran photographer who has completed hundreds of portraits commissions for publications including the Washington Post, New York Times and American Red Cross. His portrait subjects have included doctors, lawyers, scientists, celebrities and Presidents.
Dennis' work has won awards in the national Pictures of the Year competition, three Maryland State Arts Council Grants, an Arthur Burns Fellowship to work at the German magazine Stern, and two Fulbright Fellowships for work in Pakistan and Cambodia.
Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.
